Some advantages of non-binary Galois fields for digital signal processing

چکیده
It is shown that the convenient processing facilities of digital signals varying in a finite range amplitudes are non-binary Galois fields, numbers which elements equal to prime numbers. Within choosing sampling interval corresponding such field, it becomes possible construct field Fourier transform, distinctive feature exact correspondence with ranges variation original signal and its spectrum. This favorably distinguishes Field Transform proposed type from spectra, calculated using, for example, Walsh basis. also shown, Transforms have same properties as transform associated expansion terms basis harmonic functions. In particular, an analogue classical correlation, connected spectrum derivative, was obtained. On this proved, using fields makes develop complete transfer function apparatus, but only presented form.

Digital Binary Phase-shift Keyed Signal Detector
We have developed the effective algorithm for detecting digital binary phase-shift keyed signals. This algorithm requires a small number of arithmetic operations over the signal period. It can be relatively easy implemented based on the modern programmable logic devices. It also provides high interference immunity by identifying signal presence when signal-to-noise ratio is much less that its w...
متن کاملVLSI Digital Signal Processing: Some Arithmetic Issues
In this review paper we discuss selected issues associated with the implementation of arithmetic for VLSI Digital Signal Processors. We start with a Silicon Technology Roadmap view of the next decade, in order to grasp some of the issues facing the next generation of VLSI designers, particularly associated with high performance DSP systems. We use this roadmap to open the discussion on the role...
متن کاملConfigurable Logic for Digital Communications: Some Signal Processing Perspectives
published earher this year [l] .L This article describes several FPGA DSP applications. The capacity of FPGAs to vary the data path precision at various nodes in a system is explored with two filter design problems. The first design reports on a novel method for implementing narrowband finite impulse response (FIR) filters using ZA modulation encoding. The second filter example highlights some ...
متن کاملImplementation of Digital Signal Processing: Some Background on GFSK Modulation
In the context of this example, the alphabet has only two symbols 0 and 1. When the alphabet consists of just two symbols, the symbols are called bits. The modulation method is a variant of frequency modulation (FM) of some carrier frequency ωc. Frequency shift keying (FSK) conveys information by decreasing the carrier frequency for the duration of a 0 symbol and increasing the frequency for th...
متن کاملSome Applications of Genetic Programming in Digital Signal Processing
A significant part of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is concerned with restoring signals corrupted by unwanted interference or noise. The usual way to recover such a signal is by adaptive filtering. Designing adaptive filters is not an easy task. It usually involves complicated algorithms whose performance depends on the skill of the designer as well as the power of the computer used. The aim ...
